ABOUT PAA

  • The Philippine Association of Agriculturists, Inc. or PAA is the only Accredited Integrated Professional Organization (AIPO) of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) for licensed agriculturists.

MEMBERSHIP

  • The Board of Agriculture has mandated that all licensed agriculturists should be a member of an accredited professional organization of agriculturists. In this case, PAA is the only Accredited Integrated Professional Organization (AIPO) for agriculturists. In the renewal of your professional license, the Professional Regulation Commission requires the submission of a Certificate of Good Standing (COGS) from PAA. If you are not a member, you cannot obtain a COGS.

  • YES. You can apply for membership to PAA. You can apply online just visit the PAA Membership Page for instructions on becoming a member or apply through our EventBank Online Registration Page. Payment is through the bank.

  • YES. You can be an Associate member of PAA. You will become a regular member once you get your license.

  • YES. You can be an Associate member of PAA.

    You can check the PAA By-laws online to know the rights and privileges of members.

  • You have to pay Php 500.00 as a membership fee and Php 1500.00 annual dues for 3 years or a total of Php 2000.00.

  • Once you register on the PAA portal, you can settle through the online payment portal which allows for GCash payments.

  • Yes, you can as long as you are at least 55 years old and paid your membership dues continuously for the last 5 years.

  • Institutional members are those affiliated organizations whether private or public who are supportive of the objectives of the association and have paid the annual institution membership dues. Please proceed to paa.org.ph/membership for the full details.

  • You can visit the PAA National Secretariat Office located at the 3F DOST-PCAARRD Innovation and Technology Center, Jamboree Road, Brgy. Timugan, Los Baños, Laguna, or you can send an email request to paa.philippines@gmail.com with your 2x2 photo and a scanned copy of your deposit slip as payment for the ID.

  • You can visit the PAA National Secretariat Office located at the 3F DOST-PCAARRD Innovation and Technology Center, Jamboree Road, Brgy. Timugan, Los Baños, Laguna or you can email request to paa.philippines@gmail.com to send thru courier service. If you opt for courier service, you have to pay the corresponding courier fee of P200.

  • You can sustain your membership by actively participating in PAA activities and paying your annual membership dues.

  • Active membership requires active participation in PAA activities and regular payment of annual dues.

  • If you are a PAA member, you can request the PAA National Secretariat for a COGS thru email (paa.philippines@gmail.com). You have to provide proof of your payment of your annual dues.

  • To maintain your status as a “member in good standing”, you have to pay your annual membership dues and attend at least one (1) PAA-accredited activity whether national or regional within a 3-year period.

  • Membership is a one-time process. You don’t have to renew your membership unless you failed to pay your annual membership dues for three (3) consecutive years (see no. 16).

  • If you have been a member and failed to pay your annual dues for three (3) or more years, your membership to PAA is deemed lost. You can regain your membership by re-applying for membership and paying the corresponding dues.

  • NO. If you fail to pay your annual membership dues for three years, you have lost your membership. You have to reapply again.

  • YES, you can choose to be a member of any regional chapter. Just indicate your preferred chapter on the form.

  • NO. You have to apply for a PAA membership.

  • Yes. It is advisable however for future conventions to regularly check with the organizers if these are CPD accredited.

CONTINUOUS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (CPD)

  • The Continuing Professional Development (CPD) refers to the process of tracking and documenting the skills, knowledge, and experience that you gain both formally and informally as you work, beyond any initial training. It's a record of your experiences and learnings as a Professional Agriculturist.

    The Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is a mandatory requirement for the renewal of your professional license under Section 10 of R.A. 10912, otherwise known as the CPD Law of 2016.

    Registered or Licensed Professionals can acquire CPD units through Professional Track, Academic Track, Self-Directed Training, and other activities recommended by the CPD Council. The PRC revised resolution provides the detailed matrix of programs/activities that professionals must do to attain the corresponding CPD units. This list can be found on the website of PRC.

  • Yes, PAA is an accredited CPD provider.

  • The conferences organized by PAA and its member organizations are CPD accredited as well as other activities that PRC may approve for CPD points.

  • PAA regularly holds its national conferences on the 2nd week of July. As a matter of practice, the venues for the national conferences are rotated among Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. You can regularly check the PAA website for updates on these conferences.
