Course Description:

The Philippine Association of Agriculturists (PAA) envisioned a proactive and globally recognized professional organization committed to ensuring the distinctive competence of its member for competitive and sustainable Philippine agriculture. It seeks to promote the agriculture profession among the youth through education, training, and capacity building; capacitate Philippine agriculturists to proactively address emerging opportunities and challenges in agriculture; accelerate regional agricultural development through a strong regional presence; engage professional agriculturists in agricultural advocacy, policy research, and formulation, enterprise-building communications, training, and community development for deeper awareness and understanding of Philippine agriculture; and forge strategic alliances and partnerships with local and international institutions and professional organizations in agriculture.

Responding to the challenges of agriculture in the new normal, PAA should uphold its commitment to support and serve its members for deeper awareness and understanding in regard to agricultural advocacy, policy research formulation, enterprise-building communications, training, and community development.

Aiming for a higher level of competency among its members for competitive and sustainable agriculture in the country, nourished the idea of coming up with this design guided by the theme: “Enhancing the Capabilities, Work Ethics and Values of Professional Agriculturists in the Cordillera”.
